Jonathan and our camera kit spent two days on location and four days filming ‘live’ for Worktalk, a DVD project for the Worknet Partnership, having previously recorded and edited the audio version for CD release.

Nicky spent several days in Marrakesh on a Unilever event. Thank heavens for air-conditioning.....

Major merchant bank Morgan Stanley use us as ‘speaker ready’ for conferences large and small all over Europe. In this role we tidy up financial presentations (sometimes to the extent of just trying to make them readable), brief the speakers and try to spot potential problems before they get into the conference room. Jonathan worked at their TMT conference in Barcelona five years running, as speaker ready and voice-over. It’s flattering to see the girls come looking for the owner of the voice - and disheartening to see them walk sadly away after finding him...

Live voice-over for the Agent Achievement Awards at the Royal Lancaster: according to the client 2010 was the fourteenth successive year!

A series of small conferences for Reed Business Information since 2006, using our own sound and vision kit as well as the usual presentation processing and supply of computers. It’s nice to work with the same people repeatedly and develop relationships, something that doesn’t happen too often in this fly-by-night business.

The British Crop Protection Council had a major international meeting in Glasgow every year; we were there the last five times, running speaker ready - which with 140 or so presentations, in four rooms over three days, is a major organisational task. The credit crunch has unfortunately ‘crunched’ on this event and it won’t be happening again.

Camera directing on an all-star charity ‘fringe’ event the night before the Monaco Grand Prix. Exciting till you see the schedule - fly out, rig, rehearse, show, derig, two hours sleep and fly back before the race. Oh, it’s a glamorous life.....

A week in Toronto with a top level conference of specialists in the treatment of insomnia - ironic then that we were working such long hours that the biggest difficulty was staying awake! It’s another repeat booking, this was the third year on this event and it happened again in 2009, in Cannes so at least jetlag wasn’t a problem.

The Professional Cricketers Association awards happened three years running at the Albert Hall. The first time we did this show, Jonathan met one of his music heroes, Hugh Cornwell of the Stranglers, backstage, held the door for him...... and didn’t recognise him, despite him being on his way to the stage, guitar in hand. Doh.

It’s 3am at the Albert Hall, we’ve been there for quite a few hours, and that’s a very expensive bit of kit he’s sitting on the balcony with...

Backstage, Nicky works Keynote for Macbook with one hand, and PowerPoint for PC with the other. It’s what they call multiskilling.

HOW many lumens of projection????
