6. Importing slides while keeping their colour scheme
(Technically called ‘Multiple Masters’).
XP/03/07/10: There’s a long-winded menu for importing slides - bypass it by simply using copy/paste, you will find the pasted slides take on the look of the slide immediately before the paste location. Fear not, it’s easily fixed.
Look for the clipboard button:
- usually next to the slide number on the last of the pasted slides. Click this and you will get an option to ‘Keep Source Formatting’.
Select this and the slides you just pasted will magically revert to their original layout and colours.
You must do this as soon as you have pasted - the option disappears as soon as you do something else.
PowerPoint 2000; Not possible - the only way to get anywhere near is to link one presentation as an object in another. If you’re still using PowerPoint 2000, for pity’s sake, upgrade!!!!
